Location: Louisville, Kentucky
The existing Jefferson County Public School building serving Okolona Elementary School will be replaced with this brand new 82,000 sf elementary school. With the design of this facility, we hope to create child-centric spaces in the student experience.
The location of the new school will be neighbored by a public park for the community, calling for bright spaces open to greenery and protected courtyard for play. Programmatically, central spaces branch off of the main axis of the building, while classroom wings branch out to create these private outdoor spaces.
